Six words tell a long story. (See what we did there?) Join Hillcrest for a meaningful and creative gathering inspired by the Six-Word Memoirs movement and book Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure, by Larry Smith, where just a few chosen words can create a rich written world. Together over a glass of wine, we will draft short reflections centered on what’s meaningful to you: memories, humor, possibility, and life. This event is the first in a new series of writing experiences at Hillcrest designed to spark creativity and build community. A free copy of Larry Smith’s book will be awarded for the most clever memoir author. No writing experience necessary, we hope to see you there!
